For those that are fans of the Friday the 13th franchise the way we are, who are excited about the news of a reboot and have lengthy discussions about Jason Voorhees as a person, we would like your attention as we have something murderously cool to announce.

Preproduction has begun on a Reel Original Media web series based on the iconic horror character! (FYI we know we own no rights to the character so we’re not looking to make money off of this, we just think the idea is hilarious and it’s how we’re choosing to spend our summer).

The series centers around Jason Voorhees, adjusting to the ordinary and mundane things that are unique to our modern world. When our writer/director/editor first came up with the idea, he was beyond psyched, so much so that he looked up and found the special effects team that worked on three Friday the 13th movies, the Butcher Shop in Hamilton Ontario. Once he told them about the project, they went above and beyond to get us the prosthetics, costumes and effects makeup we need to do this thing right! This production becomes increasingly serendipitous in that people who share the interest in the series and can contribute an essential service or guidance to the making of this series have found their way to our path only adding to our excitement and focus on bringing you an entertaining and funny web series.
